There is nothing more satisfying to travel far and come out on top and thats exactly what happened for Tasmanian Scott Brunton who travelled to Flemington on Saturday and upset the short-priced favourite when THE INEVITABLE saluted.

The success didnt stop there when the stable were winning races on home soil on Sunday when THE SWORD and HAVANA DEEJAY provided a double with Sigrid Carr.

The Bruntons success at Flemington came on the back of Pat and Chris Hyland taking out the opening race with outsider JINDA thanks to a great ride from Teo Nugent.

Danny OBrien Racing had success with MY PENDANT and ROYAL ACE partnered with Redcraze Racing while Tommy Button Racing scored a win with THE TAX ACCOUNTANT.

Gangemi Racing continue to churn out the winners in Western Australia and on Saturday it was SHINJUs turn who had placed at his two runs this preparation. With stable star Malibu Style running second at Flemington, the Neville Parnham team saddled up LOOKOUT to score in a thrilling finish at Belmont whilst David Harrison claimed a fabulous win when SNOWCHINO was first past the post.

John Thompson enjoyed Saturday success when SWEET DEAL came out winning her fifth race thanks to Nash Rawiller giving a charmed run at Rosehill meanwhile it Murray Bridge, Paul Preusker saddled up ARTY LUCAS with young apprentice Lewis German aboard over 2000 metres to victory.

Meanwhile the weekend got off to a great start for Keith Dryden back on Friday when GUNGA DIN saluted at Canberra on Friday. Well done to all those leading back winners last weekend, may it long continue!

Congratulations also to all our overseas winning trainers; Dan Meagher, Lee Freedman, James F Peters and Stephen Gray in Singapore, Sean Tarry and Brett Crawford in South Africa.
