SIXTIES GROOVE claims Group 2 Brisbane Cup for Kris Lees and Australian Bloodstock partnership

Australian Bloodstock and Kris Lees lifted another cup up high on Saturday after SIXTIES GROOVE claimed the Brisbane Cup in style. The victory was the first of three Australia wide for the combination who also produced ITZ LILY to victory in Sydney and THINK FREE in Newcastle. Kris Lees Racing also produced winners with RULING SYMBOL and MANDIRIGMA.

With attention on Eagle Farm, Snowden Racing also struck gold after SIGNORE FOX struck gold early with James McDonald in the opening race.

One of our very first MiStable clients, Shane Fliedner, produced a smart filly ST EDWARDS CROWN to win up the Flemington straight while BLAZEJOWSKI kept his winning run going with another big win for Greg Eurell and Jye McNeil at Flemington. KINGS BROOK didnt disappoint for Brideoake Racing when crossing the finish line in first place.

Morphettville was a happy hunting ground for four clients, starting with Richard Jolly Racing who have now won four out of the past five races with smart gelding REGALO DI GAETANO while also having a win with TOMB RAIDER in Darwin. The Michael Hickmott stable is enjoying a good run and LADY BETHANY made it back-to-back wins in just her third Australian start from New Zealand while Jason Holder got the best out of COUNTER DRIVE for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas, a deserving maiden win after four career placings.

It wouldnt be a meeting without Ryan Balfour striking gold and thats exactly what he did when CASHED upset punters with his ninth win when first-up from a spell. LEFT HAND MAN scored a terrific win for Jon O'Connor Racing and Guy Racing claimed an impressive win with CREATIVE MOSS.

Grant and Alana Williams enjoyed success for the Peters family with a double at Belmont on Saturday after TRUE ATTRACTION deservingly got back into the winners stall with a strong come from behind win over 1400 metres. William Pike didnt take long to win again for the stable, this time when WESTERN PRIDE did best when making it three starts for as many wins. EYE ART and GREAT AGAIN worked hard and claimed a double spectacular for Lindsey Smith Racing.

Northern Territory star PATRIOT DAY got punters off to a flyer again on Saturday for Gary Clarke having now won three times in a row at short odds while Jenny Graham scored a win with VICTOREM.

Circling back to Friday and Matthew Dale put the polish on THE SENATOR in his home state of Canberra, the Joseph and Jones team did the same when WITHORN scored easily as did Keith Dryden with PRINCE JACKO.
