Warwick Farm horseman Greg Hickman had a red letter day at Randwick on Saturday highlighted by stable star PIERATA breaking through at Group 1 level with a sensational win in the All Aged Stakes.


TOP STRIKER topped off a terrific day for Greg Hickman with Damian Lane winning his eighth race from the front in the Formula Sprint. Joe Cleary Racing claimed an amazing win with CONCRETE while Brideoake Racing took a win with PRINCESS JENNI. Danny OBrien Racing scored well with GRINZINGER STAR coming in first.


Punters were left shocked but owners of the John Moloney trained filly GRACEFUL STORM were jumping for joy when Dwayne Dunn won aboard the $61 chance coming from the tail end of the field to and Thrillster on the line.


Racing at Doomben was a happy hunting ground for clients highlighted by good friends Kris Lees and Australian Bloodstock continuing their run at Listed level when HALLELUJAH BOY saluted in the Aquis Tails Stakes. The win was the first of two on Saturday for Australian Bloodstock who also won the Group 3 Easter Cup with exciting import PLEIN CIEL.


Queensland success first started when the Kelly Schweida trained gelding MEET MR TAYLOR scored first-up from a spell extending his record to six wins from seven starts. Another horse building a winning streak was THE CANDY MAN for Barry Baldwin who has gone four wins in a row when relishing wet conditions from the back of field to the joy of favourite backers. 


The famous Oakbank Carnival saw Ryan Balfour prepare LOSTARC salute under Joe Bowditch and make it two straight wins on the back of a run of seconds, while Adam Trinder on Good Friday struck early with PRETZEL LOGIC in maiden grade. Patrick Payne Racing also claimed a win with ZED EM.
