DIG DEEP claims victory in Group 2 Karrakatta Plate for Pearce Racing

The 3yo fillies did battle in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes and it was loyal clients Kris Lees Racing and syndicator Australian Bloodstock who combined with $41 chance ALIFEROUS who passed nearly every runner from the back of the field under Brenton Avdulla.

Across in Perth and there was more success for the Pearce Brothers who prepared DIG DEEP to a massive win the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate at just her third start while also scoring a win on Sunday with DICKOLETTO.

There is no stopping the Brunton team in 2019 who are becoming a feared force when travelling to Melbourne! This time it was LADY PLUCK who carried her northern form to Caulfield where Dean Hollan rode the filly to her fourth win.

Grahame Begg was also smiling after his New Zealand bred mare OUR LIBRETTO appreciated the 2000 metres second-up from a spell to take out the last.

Danny O'Brien scored a win with GRINZINGER STAR while Big Bear Racing claimed first place with BRUTAL. 2K Thoroughbreds was successful with FLOTUS and Dick Leech Racing scored a double with GOLDEN DICE and ELECTRIC CRIMSON while Snowden Racing followed paced scoring a double with JEN RULES and CALIFORNIA LONGBOW.

Gollan Racing snared a double with SPLITTER and NATCH while Victory Thoroughbreds took a win with WANT TO BOLT and Scott Morrisey scored a win with PUMPS.

Racing at Canberra on Friday also proved a happy hunting ground for clients starting when Keith Dryden got favourite backers off on the right note when PRINCE JACKO scored. Mitch Beer continued his recent success and managed back-to-back victories with RIVER OF GOLD. Matt Dale also looks like he is going to have plenty of fun with FUN TICKETS who won the last.
