You could hear the roar from Tasmania on Saturday as the Adam Trinder trained MYSTIC JOURNEY crossed the finish line first in the Group 1 Australian Guineas at Flemington.

The win provided her trainer and jockey, Anthony Darmanin, the first Group 1 wins of their careers and all from just an $11,000 purchase. A fantastic result with a filly now full steam ahead to the All-Star Mile. A job well done!

Mick Price also enjoyed a day out at Headquarters along with BlueBlood Thoroughbreds when SHES SO HIGH delivered on favourite backers expectations with Ollie at it again in the last on stable iron mare OREGONS DAY notching a Group 3 win. A big well done to Pat Carey who prepared SWIFT SIS to her eighth win, but this one coming at odds of $31 and in a thrilling finish at Flemington for Makybe Racing.

Snowden Racing and Tim Clark were on the podium after the Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes when ANAHEED ran away with a comfortable victory and made it two wins from just three starts. DREAMFORCE showed what an excellent horse he is for John Thompson with a tough on speed effort in the Group 3 Liverpool Cup - his tenth career win! While Kim Waugh continued a good run with ex-Lloyd Williams galloper GOATHLAND who relished the 2000m and was one of many winners on the day for Blake Shinn.

Grant and Alana Williams scored a triple with ADORNMENT taking the Group LR Schweppes-Ascot 1000 Guin, REGAL POWER taking the Group LR Lex Piper Stakes and FORCEFUL claiming a powerful win, while Parnham Racing Stables scored an impressive win with HOBOKEN.

MR QUICKIE finished first for Dalziel Higgins Racing, Patrick Payne claimed an impressive win with MATAMANOA and Eales Racing Syndications took a striking win with BONDEIGER.

In the Sunshine State, Kelly Schweida hit the board when THE ODYESSEY led from barrier to box for a comfortable win, his first race since the Magic Millions Classic while Proven Thoroughbreds and Steven ODea were at it again when Boris Thornton this time way aboard COOL SEQUENCE to a narrow but gutsy win!

Gollan Racing took an amazing double win with NIEDORP and GODFATHER'S GIRL while Laurel Oak Bloodstock came away with a strong win by VAUCLUSE BAY and 2K Thoroughbreds claimed a ripper of a win with SWORD OF JUSTICE.
