Perth Cup Day saw Western Australian owners to the fore highlighted by Harvey Racing winning the Listed sprint event with the very smart mare, MISTY METAL.


Trevor Andrews was on the board early after MISS WEST COAST won her maiden at odds of $1.40 while Lindsey Smith came to shine on the big day when DISRUPTIVE led from start to finish.



Snowden Racing could be on the way to the Gold Coast Magic Millions after Written Tycoon gelding HIGHTAIL again impressed. Hugh Bowman got the best out of the Ron Quinton Racing Stables trained LJUNGBERG who remained undefeated this campaign while in the lucky last MERCURIAL LAD also led and couldn't be ran down for the Joseph & Jones racing team.



The combination of Kris Lees Racing and Australian Bloodstock is an excellent one and another winner to the tally is STAR REFLECTION who went back-to-back at the Gold Coast in her seventh career win. A great thrill for Munce Racing who got a well deserved win out of SKATE TO PARIS in the final race.



Punters cheered as one as MASTERING got back into the winners stall in the tightest of finishes for the Mick Price trained gelding. An all the way win of ARROCHAR wasn't as popular from the Robbie Laing stable at odds of $17 while SUPRE is building quite the CV for Hope Racing at their Seymour base.


Patrick Payne scored wins with LAMBORGHINI and STRATEGIC DEMAND while Darby Racing had an amazing win with SAMADOUBT and Laurel Oak Bloodstock with SWEET SCANDAL.



Matthew Seyers hit the board nice and early with Dylan Caboche in Adelaide after FELICIA cruised to an effortless victory - her second in as many starts.


A big day of racing for South African trainer Brett Crawford who went away with four wins on Saturday and Fraser J Auret scored in NZ with GET SCHROEDER.
