Feature Double for Morton Racing

It is very exciting to see so many of our clients doing so well this carnival.

The week just been has seen the impressive Grahame Begg trained colt WRITTEN BY continue his unbeaten form at Caulfield claiming victory in the Group 3 Blue Sapphire Stakes on Wednesday, taking his career wins to 6 from 7 starts and more than $1.7m in prize money. Snowden Racing and the Triple Crown team also continued their successful season with BRAVE SONG snaring the win in the Listed Caulfield Village Stakes.

Morton Racing was the star of the show at Ascot on Saturday taking out both feature events on the day. Previous Group Winner DAINTY TESS returned to the track first up this season and was nothing but impressive in her season debut in which she claimed the Listed Furphy-RS Crawford Stakes. Stable mate MAN BOOKER didn't disappoint making it back to back wins after claiming victory in the hotly contested Group 3 Crown Perth-Northerly Stakes. 

The winners at Ascot didn't stop there with Grant and Alana Williams on the board early with 3yo gelding TRUE ATTRACTION. Ben and Daniel Pearce found their way to the winner's circle with AGENT PIPPA, as did JERAFT for the Neville Parnham Racing stables. 

To Doomben and Kris Lees Racing prepared So You Think mare INTRINSIC to her second win after gaining a start as an emergency, while Kelly Schweida Racing trained THE ODYSSEY to a smart all the way maiden win. Well done David Murphy Racing who saddled up BEL BURGESS who was well backed and loved rolling along in front.

Trainer Patrick Payne put the polish on ZIZZIS for Prime Thoroughbreds for a narrow win at Caulfield.

Gary Portelli trained TIME TO REIGN was a smart debut winner at Randwick for new miStable client Darby Racing. Plenty of happy owners also for Slade Bloodstock after SMART AS YOU THINK got the job done.

Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas in combination with Raquel Clark had fun in Adelaide after GOTTA BE GOLD scored fresh and WASABI BOB got the job done at a short priced. The winners also rolled in for Richard Jolly Racing after SCHILLDORA made it three wins from five starts. Congratulations also toDalziel Racing with their win from FIGHTING DRAGON and Blueblood Thoroughbreds who took out the last race of the day with DOUBLE THE MAGIC.

A shout out to our trainers who found the winner's circle in Canberra - Nick Olive (RELIANT & MAID OF ORE); training duo Keith Dryden and Scott Collings (BOMBDIGGITY); and Mark Gee (TREASURE BOSS). A pat on the back also to Jason Manning Racing on the victory of Tuscarora by over 5L in Darwin. 

In Hobart, Scott Brunton trained a double in DIVI and STREET TOUGH, as did the Chris Cook and Imogen Miller team with SPECIAL MOMENT and TRUSTED WARRIOR.

Across the Tasman it was fantastic to see Vermair Racing in the winner's circle at Arawa Park following their win with VOLKS LIGHTNING. Graham Richardson and Gavin Parker didn't leave empty handed with LA MIA STELLA also proving too good.

Other wins on international soil included Mike de Kock and Sean Tarry at Turffontein, while at Durbanville TIPPU TIB got the job done for Glen Kotzen and Brett Crawford picked up a double for his stable. A double also for Lee Freedman with stable mates JOMO and NATIONALITY in Singapore and James Peters with THE GOLDEN GOAT.
