Danny O'Brien claims the prestigious Lexus Melbourne Cup for 2019 with VOW AND DECLARE

Danny OBrien has secured some magnificent wins over the last few days claiming the GR 2 Wakeful Stakes with MIAMI BOUND on Saturday then taking out Tuesdays prestigious GR 1 Lexus Melbourne Cup with VOW AND DECLARE thanks to a brilliant ride by Craig Williams, miStables first jockey user. 

Saturday saw one of racings biggest days at Flemington on Derby Day and it was DALASAN who bounced back to his best form to win the GR 3 Carbine Club Stakes and a $1 million bonus for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas. Richard and Chantelle Jolly did not disappoint either when scoring a win in the GR 2 TAB Stakes with KEMALPASA and also claiming a win with KORODON.

Greg Hickman is also enjoying a terrific preparation with his emerging stallion prospect PIERATA who would dominate after being caught three wide when winning the Redzel Stakes who a fortnight earlier won The Shorts and finished fifth in The Everest.

Kelly Schweida enjoyed the spoils in Queensland after preparing a double and it started early after MAGSTOCK was too good in the opener for Steph Thornton. The duo teamed up again later in the day after THE ODYSSEY was a dominant four length winner and building an exciting CV with 5 wins from 11 starts whilst Nat McCall scored an amazing win with VALARIO.

Ascot races saw Neville and Steven Parnham combine with PLATOON to the joy of favourite backers in a thrilling finish and continues with a win in the GR LR Burgess Queen Stakes with KAY CEE whilst Chris Gangemi along with Amelia Park won the GR 3 Asian Beau Stakes with Brad Parnham after SAMIZDAT was back in winning form for the fifth time in his eight start career.

A shout out to Mick Price who claimed the GR 3 Jim Beam Black Stakes at Flemington on Tuesday with TELEPLAY.
