KING'S LEGACY claims the Group 1 Inglis Sires

The Championships rolled on at Randwick on Saturday and it was $1.2 million colt KING'S LEGACY who staked his claim as a future stallion when the Snowden Racing trained Redoute's Choice colt took out the Group 1 Inglis Sires in strong fashion.

Australian Bloodstock again proved how good they are at selecting an international runner and again with trainer Kris Lees took out the Chairman's Handicap with Ebor runner-up RAHEEN HOUSE, while Plumpton trainer, Patrick Payne and Prime Thoroughbreds teamed up to claim victory in the G3 PJ Bell Stakes with super impressive Rubick filly, RUBISAKI (pictured) who made it 5 wins from 5 starts this season.

Group 2 success found its way into the Chris Gangemi stable on Saturday when IMA SINGLE MAN remained undefeated from two starts and claimed the Karrakatta Plate under Jordan Turner riding the speed. David Harrison trained MEDIA BARON continued his winning ways making it 3 wins on the trot with 5yo gelding taking out the Listed Old Comrade Stakes. 

While the feature race eluded Steve Wolfe and Watch Me Dance by the barest of margins, they got their revenge with RED CAN MAN in the final race a brave victor and now a winner of all three races this campaign and six of his 11 race starts. Jim Taylor found the winner's circle with LORENTINIO, and the Pearce Racing team struck success at the start of the day when CLIFFS OF COMFORT was a very impressive all the way winner of his third race from as many starts. 

A dominant display from South Australian star DALASAN saw the star colt back in winning form in his home state when the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas trained colt was far too good for his rivals in the Port Adelaide Guineas. The victory came after Teagan Voorham provided the stable with a win earlier on the program in DIAMOND TYCOON. Byron Cozamanis also made it two straight wins with LISETTE while Ryan Balfour took out the last with the ever consistent KENYAN WONDER.

Caulfield hosted metropolitan racing and it saw Matthew Brown in the winners stall after EXASPERATE was able to deliver his second straight wins.  Meanwhile at Doomben Boris Thornton got the best out of TUMBLER RIDGE for Steven O'Dea who is building a good record. Barry Lockwood trained WATCH THE CAT made it 2 from 2, while BLACKBOOTS cracked through her maiden for Vandyke Racing. 

Congratulations to Darwin trainer, Gary Clarke for his win with FINAL HEARING at Pioneer Park, and Dick Leech who had success with GOLDEN DICE. Keith Dryden prepared a double on Friday in Canberra thanks to EXPRESS COURIER and the short-priced ELTHAM PLACE.  Team Snowden broke the maiden with the well-bred SEVENTH SEAL and Jarrod Austin the final race with $16 blow out AUSTREET.
