- Hells Son snapped a streak of four third place finishes in a row at Wangaratta in race four's Ovens Kia Wangaratta Maiden Plate (1170m) by a length. After drawing gate 14 of 14, hoop Lachlan King settled in the back half of the field before looming the widest on the turn.
- Rainbow Thief returned to the winners’ circle for the first time since February 2022 after saluting in race three’s open trophy at Mansfield on Sunday.
