Week review
- Saturday’s Hay Cup meeting saw Malabar Prince break his maiden in the first race of the day by a cool 3.5L.

Week ahead
Wagga
- Arbelour kicks the day off in race one and will run the second start of his career, returning from a spell.
- Malabar Prince is dual accepted at Wagga and Cooma but will be searching for back-to-back victories in race two’s benchmark 50 if he runs at Wagga. He’s drawn gate one with Connor Murtagh to ride.
- In race three Oxburger will need to show something after a disappointing few starts to begin his career.
- Race four’s Xmas Party Cup (BM50) will see the in-form Adelaide’s Diamond running against stablemate Rainbow Thief. Both horses are dual-acceptors for Cooma’s meeting on Saturday with a decision to be made on where they’ll run.
- Shemakesastatement will run her first start for ADR in race five (BM50), while College Dropout will also feature.
- Race six’s Class 1 will see Malabar Queen in action from gate four.

Cooma
- A scenic trip will be taken to Cooma for their cup day on Saturday in search of a winner or two. The club is awaiting a track inspection in the morning to determine whether the meeting will go ahead after a week of constant rain.
- Malabar Prince looks well placed to make it back-to-back wins in race two’s benchmark 45 if he goes to Cooma.
- Bellman and Rainbow Thief will be looking for a Cooma Cup win in race three with both leading contenders if they feature at Cooma.
- Wagunda has drawn barrier 13 but will take his place in race four’s benchmark 45.
- Malabar Queen rounds the day out for the stable in race six (BM50).

Corowa
- Three runners will attack Tuesday’s meeting at Corowa.
- Deploy and Destroy will jump from gate one in race four’s benchmark 58.
- Mojo Music and Crimosa will feature in race six’s benchmark 66 with both gallopers looking for improvement.

BEST OF THE WEEKEND
- New acquisition Shemakesastatement looks a chance in race five (BM50 over 1200m) at Wagga tomorrow. The five-year-old mare comes back in class with in-form hoop Connor Murtagh to ride. (Each-way).
